We at HPC Sweden AB are specialists in surfaces in injection molding tools.
We have genuine know-how and have many years of experience with all types of molding tools for customers all over Europe.
Thanks to our solid know-how, we are happy to assist from an early stage in product development to meet all aesthetic and/or functional surface requirements.
We do also service and repair of molding tools, for ex. laser welding and after-finishing, high-gloss polishing, etc.
We have an Alpha Laser mobile laser welding machine, we can do repair welding either in our workshop or we can weld on our customers place as well.
Texturing-etching
At HPC Sweden AB, we deal with texturing of shaping surfaces on molding tools. The technique we use is etching.
The surfaces of the molding tools are etched with various acid mixtures and in this way the texture is created. After etching, we clean the surface with sandblasting and adjust the gloss.
The pattern roughness is measured with a Diavite measuring machine and the surface gloss is measured with a Zenthner gloss measuring machine. Our customers receive measurement protocols about these measurements.
Texture reparation
We are well equipped to repair any damage that may occur to a textured surface, including laser welding + re-texturing and gloss adjustment.
Repairs can be carried out either at our workshop in Långaryd, or at the customer's location, depending on what is most suitable and most cost-effective.
We also undertake repair and after-work like polishing and mirror polishing on surfaces. High-gloss polishing is carried out by highly skilled hand-workers.
Tool repairing and service
We also perform traditional tool serviceand tool repairing mostly with a focus on manual work ( assembly, replacement of damaged tool parts, periodic lubrication + maintenance, tool modifications, etc).
We undertake the transport of tools up to a weight limit of 1.2 tonnes with our own van.
It is important to note that the weight limit in our workshop is 2 tons, and we can only move tools above this weight with a help of a subcontractor specialized in lifting
Laser-welding
We have a mobile Alpha Laser 150 laser welding machine.
We can ourselves make repair-welding on tools in our workshop.
If necessary, we can transport the mobile welding machine to our customer's location with our own van-car.
In this way, large tools over 2 tons do not need to be transported and our specialist can also make post-welding work, for example: after-polishing, texture repairing, gloss adjustment.
